__________
The Interstring Project presents its new concert program ODDITY SPACE in three concerts in Tübingen, Basel and Villingen-Schwenningen.
The musicians inspire a wide audience for experimental music with extraordinary productions and energetic performances. They have developed their characteristic sound using guitars, preparations, effect pedals and live electronics, with roots both in contemporary chamber music and in the practice of experimental rock bands.
ODDITY SPACE is the sonic emancipation of noise: the title track is a noise cover of David Bowie’s pop classic “Space Oddity”. Also to be heard are (among others): a world premiere by Arshia Samsaminia, the post-minimal rock number “Braml” by Gulli Björnsson and feedback sound clouds in Sarah Nemtsov’s “Orbits V”.
The special Interstring sound, an immersive lighting design and a dynamic performance make ODDITY SPACE an extraordinary live show that transcends genre boundaries and enables the audience to intuitively access new worlds of sound.
The concert in Tübingen starts with a workshop for children and teenagers aged 12 to 16 (registration: contact@theinterstringproject.com). The workshop will focus on playful sound research using various instruments and everyday objects.
